The picture reminds me of fairytales, old, untold secrets, but also of warm summernights next to the ocean under a nightblue sky….actually I took it around 5 o’clock in the morning in Coimbra while we where looking for a place to keep warm until the car rental company would open their doors. But it really feels like a fairytale, to be here in Portugal again, to come back to places which are connected with crazy adventures, which are connected with my journey in autumn 2018…even nothing is the same this time; I’m not on a journey to explore everything new, I’m here with my dad, who’s checking out the last things so my parents can move to Portugal in summer, to the place we all fell in love with. It’s a place full of fairytales and magic, full of strong living-beings with crazy stories, it’s a place in the mountains near the sky, it’s valleys full of fruits and burned trees, it’s coffee in the middle of the village in the morning, it’s the sound of drums, guitars and singing people sitting around the bonfire, it’s the feeling of connected souls, connected, as all of us here escaped the system.

Why I need at least a second life/Travel plans
I’m quite stressed by my work these days as I also have to write stuff for university…and so I hardly find any time for doing things I love…or if I find time I’ve got less time left for sleeping…so I have to get enough sleep at the weekends which means again that I’ll have less time for writing, painting, hiking, running, Yoga…so, no matter what I do, there’s not enough time for everything. Sometimes I feel like I need at least a second life to do all the things I’d love to do.
But what I actually wanted to write about is, what makes me keep doing all of this:
Looking forward to my next journey, not a long journey this time, but a journey I’ve been waiting for for a long time..to a magical place I’ve already been to in autumn 2018…: Portugal!
In the mountains
This is me, probably as happy as almost never before, holding the baby dog of a friend I stayed with in the mountains. I definitely will return to that place in Portugal, as I had an unbelievable amazing time there with so lovely people,…but also crazy experiences which made me think a lot and changed my point of view on life…So I’ll write a bigger post about that place and the people there on my other blog as soon as I have enough time…
Penacova – Way to the people in the mountains
Last days were kinda hard; we went away from every ‘safe’ space, away from our friends in Vila Nova de Cerveira, away from Coimbra, away from all bigger cities, completly abroad, sleeping in our tents or in abandoned houses, only hitchhiking or walking, and even if the usually short way took us almost a week, it was worth every second of it…and I realised that I really don’t need much more than little bit of good food, water and something to keep me warm now in autumn, and some lovely people around me, everything else isn’t necessary to be happy.
The picture was taken on the roof of an abandoned hotel where we slept and shows the valley of Penacova, a magical small city placed on and between some mountains, separated into two parts by a huge river flowing through….
Coimbra – Way to the people in the mountains
Everything got even more crazy, completly crazy and exciting…the plans I had didn’t work out at all, but finally I got where I needed to go…and did what I needed to do…and found beauty in places I never searched for it…However, first stop was Coimbra, a magic city in Portugal, full of lovely young people, placed next to a huge river, surrounded by some hills…
Vila Nova de Cerveira
Yesterday noon in Vila Nova de Cerveira, hiking up to the “Cervo”, and finally felt that autumn arrived…
Vila Nova de Cerveira
Vila Nova de Cerveira. The last two weeks I spent there, as a wwoofer, together with unbeliviable lovely people…In a beautiful house, next to a Yoga&Meditation temple…so I spent a lot of time with Yoga…but also work in the garden, walking with the horses…and having autumn-food; chestnuts, walnuts, avocats, pumpkins….couldn’t imagine a more beautiful autumn!
